My name is Kai Emanuele Richelmy, I am half Italian and half Chinese and I will be a Senior undergraduate in Fall 2024.

During my freshman and sophomore years, I actively participated in ERFSEDS, contributing to projects such as Prometheus, which focused on solid rocket fuel, and Cerberus, which involved PCB flight control. Additionally, I served as the Public Relations Officer in my sophomore year.

More

At ALPENGLOW Lab, I gained proficiency in using Ubuntu 22.04 on Linux and setting up environments and coding in Python with PyCharm. I worked on a project titled “Reinforcement Learning for Satellite Attitude Recovery from Unknown Failure,” where I focused on enhancing the DDPG (Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient) reward functions. I also developed a function to determine the circumstances under which the satellite is realigned and Earth is found. To improve observation and evaluation of the RL parameters' performance, I set up various non-RL parameters in TensorFlow, which provided valuable insights into the efficiency of the RL algorithm under different modifications.
